About Brainathlon

It’s a fundraising challenge which you can do anywhere during Brainathlon Week (25th April – 1st May).

Walk 10 miles + Run 15 miles + Climb 1.2 miles (2,500 steps) = 26.2 miles to complete the challenge!

Complete Brainathlon all in one go, spread it out over the week, or get two friends involved and divide the challenge up between your team – it's up to you!

Registration is only £10 per person and if you raise £100 you’ll receive your specially commissioned Brainathlon medal. New for 2022, if you raise more than £500 each, you’ll also receive a reusable Brainathlon water bottle too!

About Brainathlon

It’s simple, once you’ve registered we’ll give you all the information you need to set up a JustGiving page. We’ll give lots of support throughout to reach your £100 target.

The funds you raise will support three leading neurological research charities: Brain Research UK, Brain Tumour Research and Epilepsy Research UK.

Funds will be distributed equally to support research, improve outcomes and help people affected by neurological conditions, including epilepsy and brain tumours.

Our vision is a world where everyone with a neurological condition lives better, longer.

Brain Research UK is the leading dedicated funder of neurological research in the UK. We fund the best science to achieve the greatest impact for people affected by neurological conditions.

Brain Tumour Research is the only national charity in the UK dedicated to funding continuous and sustainable scientific research into brain tumours. We are a leading voice in this country calling for greater support and action for research into brain tumours.

Epilepsy Research UK's vision is 'A life free from epilepsy'. Our mission is to drive and enable life changing, life saving research into epilepsy. We are the only UK charity exclusively dedicated to promoting, encouraging and funding research into the causes, diagnosis and treatments of epilepsy. A life free from epilepsy is possible. But only through research.
